opened his practice in 1971 and has practiced locally for over 30 years and is an active member of Children’s Hospital, Methodist Hospital and Charlton Methodist Hospital. In association with the Methodist Hospital system, Dr. Pflanzer
also provides in practice allergy training to many doctors in the residency program
Dr. Joseph Pflanzer
specializes in the diagnosis and management of asthma, allergy and clinical immunology, including such conditions as allergic rhinitis (hay fever), sinusitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), food allergy, anaphylaxis, drug allergy, angioedema (swelling) candidas, conjunctivitis and many others.
We help patients determine the causes and treatment for symptoms, such as nasal congestion, sinus symptoms, ear and eye symptoms and shortness of breath, wheezing, headache, chronic cough, recurrent respiratory and other infections, skin rashes, hives and others. We perform several types of allergy testing, pulmonary function testing, Chemical Patch test, allergy immunotherapy (allergy injections) and a variety of biologic therapies including: Xolair, Nucala, Fasenra, and Dupixent.
